All travellers entering Jamaica are required to present a valid and approved travel document as evidence of their identity and nationality. A foreign national is a traveller that does not present a Jamaican passport to Immigration for landing. The required documents needed to conduct your Immigration interview upon arrival are but not limited to the following:
Any traveller that enters the island without a valid travel document and/or the required visa (if applicable) may be refused entry into the Island or delayed until their identity and claims to enter Jamaica have been confirmed.
Foreign nationals with a claim to Jamaican citizenship are encouraged to exercise their right to obtain a Jamaican passport to present to Immigration upon entering the Island and use their foreign passport when departing.
Exceptions are Jamaicans who have renounced their Jamaican Citizenship or a foreign national who has obtained Unconditional Landing in their foreign passport.
Jamaican Visa is not required for Ghanaians travelling to Jamaica and Vice-Versa.
Stay Duration: 90 days
Ghanaian passport holders can stay in Jamaica visa-free for a duration of 90 days. Passport must be valid for the duration of stay in Jamaica.

Overstaying one's VISIT can result in detention or a fine.
It is permitted to bring local currency (Jamaican dollars) into the country. However, passengers entering Jamaica must declare on their customs form all currencies and monetary instruments they are carrying if it amounts to US$10,000 or more.
Ghanaian visitors have to pay an arrival and departure tax.
Ghanaians visiting Jamaica with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and must obtain an import license from the consulate (discuss with the honorary consul).
Ghanaians visiting Jamaica must check for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines.
Jamaicans travelling on a Jamaican passport has an automatic right of entry into the island and do not require a visa to enter. Jamaican citizens are required to present the following documents to Immigration:
A valid Jamaican passport, an emergency certificate or an expired Jamaican passport (providing acceptance from the airline)
A completed and signed Immigration/Customs C5 form, either online or a physical form.
