The Consulate

Welcome to the Jamaican Consulate website in Ghana. The Honorary Consul of Jamaica in Ghana is Okatakyie Ababio Boakye Danquah II (Isaac Emmil Osei-Bonsu). Our consulate is located in the capital city of Accra, Ghana.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality of service to all Jamaican nationals living in or visiting Ghana. We are also a major point of contact between Ghana and Jamaica in the promotion of bilateral cooperation in key areas including trade, investment, tourism, technical and cultural cooperation.

The consulate reports to the Jamaica High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria.

Okatakyie Ababio Boakye Danquah II (Isaac Emmil Osei-Bonsu) is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in Ghana. He is an alumnus of Achimota Secondary and the University of Legon where he read Law, Philosophy and Political Science.

Mission

The Jamaican consulate in Ghana seeks to protect the interests of Jamaica and aid Jamaican nationals both Individuals and corporate entities here in Ghana, guided by the municipal law as well as international law.

Foster friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Jamaica and Ghana through the promotion of tourism, trade and investment.

Perform other functions as designated by the Government of Jamaica, including the provision of diplomatic representation at a bilateral or international event.
